Isn't a "train" some sort of perverted sex act? I'm too old to know the current slang....

"Feeling sorry for yourself" about being hit by your husband is not Christian 2/15/12 WT Page 25 P 12
by yourmomma inhave anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?
its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .
if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

I had a friend from high school who got involved with an abusive man. She stayed with him despite all the abuse, trying harder and harder to please him. He beat her to death in front of her 2 preschool children and his other 2 "wives". It took him several hours to finish beating her, and he beat at least one of the other wives at the same time. He is currently serving life without parole, thankfully. She was only in her mid 20s when she was murdered.
There is no way to appease an abusive partner - nothing the victim does will ever make the abuser "see the light". That sort of change only comes from within, and putting up with abuse does nothing to incentivize the abuser to change. Some people just mellow with age - it's not because the victim displayed such sterling qualities.

I was raised in a Methodist church in the 70's and 80's in rural Southern Illinois. Our preachers always wore the long robes and colored shawls. It was a *very* reserved place - no emotion allowed. One new preacher tried to start altar calls during the Sunday service and was quickly told by the congregation bigwigs to knock it off.
My family would never display any emotion at a funeral. My inlaws do the whole "throw myself in the ground with the coffin" thing. Tripped me out the first time I saw that - I sat with my hands clenched to the point my nails cut into my palms to keep from crying. I just couldn't let myself lose control in front of everyone. I didn't feel like I had the right, like my grief was anywhere in the same league as theirs since I was just a relatively new inlaw who barely even knew the deceased.

Outlaw: holdem' discussion
by sabastious inhi outlaw and jwn,.
a while back when i was a witness on the way out, without fully knowing it, i would go over to my ex best friends house and play poker with fake chips.
i learned the basics of the game in that environment and quickly realized i had a passion for it.

the one time i played poker for actual money, i borrowed a quarter to start and finished with several dollars. i have no clue about the math/statistics behind each hand (that information just refuses to stick in my head), i was frequently unsure whether i had won a particular hand until someone told me to take the pot. i was oblivious to anyone's attempts to bluff, and i bet on anything better than a pair. so i would say that above all else, it sucks to play poker with me.

There are some all-white churches that go in for the highly emotional, dramatic church services. In my experience, it's usually the Pentecostals or other fundamentalist type churches. It could be that they are not all white on purpose, so much as there just aren't many non-white people living in my area.

The house across the street from us used to belong to the former PO of the local kingdom hall. There was a big pecan tree in the yard, and it fell over right on the house. No one was home, but it made a heck of a mess. The poor lady who lives there just moved in a month ago, and she's got 2 little kids to deal with.

around here the "exotic" meats are not available at the regular grocery store. we do have one meat shop that does custom processing and they sometimes have meats other than beef and pork, but it's usually just buffalo since they have a herd of their own. There's another shop we go to occasionally in Swiss, MO that has all sorts of different meats. They make award winning sausages - their cheddar bratwursts are the bomb!
and barbequed racoon isn't half bad.
